The characteristic woodcarving knives are highly appreciated all over the world and are well known for their excellent sharpness and highquality. Not least because they are used by the skilled craftsmen in Nusnäs, where one of Sweden's most famous national symbols, the Dala horse, is produced. With a barrel-shaped oiled handle of Scandinavian birch wood and a long, tapered blade in carbon steel, you can carve beautiful objects, only your imagination sets the limits. The knife’s full rat tang, which runs through the entire handle, provides both strength and stability in each cut and the handle gives you the opportunity to shape it to your own needs or expression. Carbon steel rusts, wipe and oil the blade after use.

I have several of the slightly longer 106 and always wanted to try one of these. Glad I did. The shorter blade is a bit safer (IMO) when working on smaller carvings, just a little less blade length when making heavier slicing cuts. Get one of each.

The knife came very sharp, and ready to use. The sheath is on the cheaper side, but the knife is amazing. It is very manageable to use, especially for inexperienced like me. Just watch your fingers!

Ready to carve out of the box. No frills. affordable. I have several Mora knives and will continue to buy them. No complaints whatsoever. I wish they made hook knives with a larger radius.

The Mora 120 is pretty small so it may not be as versatile as a 106 but for many of the greenwood carving situations I encounter it does the trick. It is a little less intimidating to beginners than the long and skinny 106. You can generate a lot of power and control when using the correct grips and you are less likely to knick your non dominant hand with the tip when you are focused on the base of the blade. The steel hits the sweet spot of easy to sharpen yet durable as long as you are not abusing it and I rarely get any chipping or rolling of the edge when using the factory bevel angles. The 120 is small enough to stand in for a chip carving or engraving knife if necessary. A must have for the tool box and the field kit!
