    This is the most popular sized firesteel as it fits sheaths with Army sized firesteel loops.

     

    High quality bulk firesteel ideal for projects or outfitting students and scout groups.

     

    I consider this type of firesteel slighlty "softer" than the harder mixtures used in the Light My Fire or Ultimate Survival Brands. This means you have to run your scraper slightly faster, but this firesteel puts out larger hot shards of metal. With a quality hardened scraper i.e. squared up spine of a knife or carbon hacksaw blade these firesteels are excellent!
