first attempt
Purchased the flint and steel in an attempt to expand my fire making skills. Was very surprised at the size of the Flint and the quantity of Jute tender that came with the kit. of course I had to try it as soon as I got it. Took a couple tries to get the angle right but as soon as I did the char caught the spar. was impressed of the ease to learn and that I had fire on the first attempt.

Light my fire
Love to use this. I even start my fire in the fire pit in my back yard I love to use it. Wish it came with a tin and bag.

Great Kit
I was given this little fire kit by my brother for a christmas present, and I was not disappointed. After just a few minutes in the kitchen we had a fire blazing. My mother soon put a stop to that. All in all I would have to say that I was impressed with the little kit, and Ben gave a generous size flint with the striker. Thanks for having a website for my family to pick out good bushcraft presents.
