these are a great must have item. I have carried one in my wallet for at least 5 years now and decided to pick up 2. one a gift and the other to replace my old one. this is a great item to add to your outdoor skills. Give them a try
Not optimal for magnifying text

This is probably better suited as a fire starter than a text magnifier because the magnified area is really much smaller than the overall card. It's a fresnel lens afterall. My mistake in not considering that. For folks needing to enlarge a block of text to avoid putting on glasses, it works, but a lens with a constant enlargement vs a fresnel style may work better.

Magnifying lens work great I put one in my backpack and what I love about the other one I keep it in my wallet and it goes everywhere I go. Definitely will be buying more of them.

It was great to buy these in a 2 pack. Each came
with it's own sheath to protect them from
scratches. Also I liked that they were 5x
magnification as opposed to the 2x or 3x one
usually sees. Service was prompt.
