I have a bunch of the Companion Mora's and wanted to see how this less expensive knife compared, As far as I can tell its the same steel , a touch shorter and just as sharp out of the box, The sheath is good and retains the knife like all the Mora's, The handle is a little more "clunky" then the handle of the Companion, which I prefer, but still more then comfortable and adequate. You can't go wrong with this knife, and for the price it's a steal.

This is an incredible knife. I do believe it sets a whole new standard for cost versus performance. The blade length is perfect and the handle is much more comfortable than the older 511. It is nice to have a black color option for the handle now. This knife needs two things done to it once it arrives. Put a 90 degree spine on it with a file, and seal the gap where blade meets handle with a bead of superglue. Trim the glue with a razor knife and you have it. A fantastic all-purpose knife for less than $9. As always, Ben's Backwoods is a pleasure to do business with.
