I think that anodized aluminum is a great compromise between weight, strength, and cost. This space saver mug is quite generous in size so could do as a cook pot for solo trips, but it is not overly big either and so it is not cumbersome. The mug does fit nicely over my 1 quart Nalgene canteen as well as my stainless steel 40 oz canteen. The universal cup lid fits it perfectly and the mug (with the lid on) does nest inside the 5 cup Mors pot if I want to carry it that way. A versatile piece of gear. Well done.

So far, these cups have been used to boil water on a campfire once.
Color/features are as shown on site.
No leaking was noted around the rivets.
Handles seem securely attached to cups, and the handles are the most comfortable folding handles I have seen.
They nest well around a 40 ounce Klean Kanteen, but the bottle can be easily removed.
Dirt/soot on the bottom was still present after being put through a dishwasher.
Measuring marks on the side are helpful.
Compared to stainless steel nesting cups, these cups are lighter, hold more, have better handles, and feel more like a regular mug.
The finish is not particularly slick, and feels slightly porous. It does not appear that it would be non-stick, but I cannot say for sure.
I am very happy with this purchase.
