Thermal Mesh Insoles size 13
(These are as thick as 3-4 pairs of the US GI insoles)
Use these mesh insoles in any environment that you need dry feet!
Mesh insoles keep a airspace between your feet and the bottom of your boot.
Works with wet jungle conditions with boots that drain.
Cold wet conditions 20 deg. F and above with rubber boots and wool socks, the insoles will keep your socks amazingly dry and you will actually have a small puddle of water under the insole.
Dry cold below 20 deg. F these insoles will act as a frost liner in extended outdoor stays. Moisture will turn into frost and be caught in the insole...pull them out and tap out the frost when needed...your socks will stay warm and dry!
These insoles create a dead airspace between your foot and footwear, permitting constant circulation of air around the foot. Keeps your feet warm and dry in the winter and cool and dry in the summer.

These are based on a battle a tested design that is a 100% no nonsense solution to help prevent crippling foot damage that can occur in extreme conditions. They help keep my feet comfortable and cool in hot weather. And, they keep my feet warm and insulated in cold weather. They help prevent immersion foot from prolonged exposure to excessive moisture. I find these ventilated insoles to be indispensable. Why our military discontinued these simple inserts escapes me. I can only imagine! Just in case of future scarcity, I picked up a couple extra pair. I might have to get a few more now that I'm thinking about it. Thank you, Ben's Backwoods for stocking these!

I wore a lot of jungle boots back in the day, wading through swamps, etc., and the mesh insoles were MUCH better at drying out the inside of the boot than any commercial gel, foam, charcoal, etc. insole. Now, I need the mesh to keep my feet dry from perspiration in foot gear that does not have air vents, and that is exactly what they do.

I got these for my jungle boots, since I couldn't find an original "DO NOT BOIL" set in size 12R (e.g. size 13). These are way better because they aren't as scratchy, yet they have the original intended "bellows" effect of air moving in & out of the insole. How much this effect actually matters, I don't know. But, it's how the boots were designed, so it's cool to maintain both the aesthetic & functionality while adding to the comfort. Glad these exist!!

I used the military issue "Vietnam style" mesh insoles while in the Army in the 70's for cold weather foot wear. Over time my supply wore out. An exhaustive internet search for surplus insoles turned up Ben's insoles. They are as good as, or better than, the Army insoles. I currently have 5 pair. They are phenomenal! My feet do not freeze on the bottoms down into the low 20 belows. I highly recommend them to others. No looking back!

I first learned of this type of insole from my Baltes Jungle boots. I found these from Ben's and couldn't be more pleased with how they work!

Dry feet here in Florida with mid weight merino wool socks. Way better than anything I was issued.

I have been searching the world on the internet for these insoles since 1990 when my last Army issue pairs wore out. the foam junk they replaced them with are a joke. these keep feet cool, dry in summer and warm dry in winter. I am so happy I bought 6 pairs ! These were the Army Jungle boot insoles during my years 1981-1987

These boot insoles are the best for anyone looking to keep their feet dry in hot/humid climates and desert climates.
Having used "Vietnam style" mesh insoles in the Army, I looked all over for similar products. These answered the call. Due to the fact that these are "low tech" does not mean they are not the best for your feet. On this site, these are advertised for cold weather, but they were originally designed for hot/moist weather and fast drying needs.
Well done!

so far I am impressed. Will try with a broader range of socks, but these have made a difference in my heavier work snow boots.

I haven't had really cold weather to test this system the way I wanted to but what I have experienced so far is unbelievable. My first test was at 15degrees with one pair of thin smart wool socks and uninsulated boots. My feet were so comfortable I felt like I was at home in my recliner. My second test was at work with cotton socks and uninsulated boots. Working inside, Again the results are amazing (DRY FEET) I also put the insoles in my boots what I think is upside down a very rough texture that feels like a constant massage. These insoles will be a permanent part of my two layer wicking system. To be able to stand outside in freezing temps and be warm is amazing.
