This is a unlined Leather Trigger Finger Mitt Shell.
These are inexpensive work grade mitts.
These are sized to fit your XL wool gloves or our size 6 wool glove liners inside.
I have used this or a similar set up for many years in deep cold.

Good outer glove
This leather outer glove works very well with the wool liner gloves, This will work best in a cold dry environment, the leather isn't high grade, but it's not advertised to be, it's a good outer layer when just the liner is not enough, and makes the combination much warmer. It's listed as a "trigger" finger glove but it's not going to fit in an actual trigger, but does give added dexterity compared to a mitten. I havn't tried it yet but I may rub some neatsfoot oil into these to soften them up.
